Support us Our appeals Outdoor Classrooms Appeal Donate Young people at Prior’s Court deserve the same access to education as others their age. To make this possible, the right learning environment is crucial. Although we have a school onsite, the building was originally designed for a former boarding school. It does not fully meet the learning styles of the autistic young people with complex needs we support. As a result, teaching and learning opportunities can be limited, and young people could miss out on vital education and essential skills for their future. That is why we are fundraising to create outdoor classrooms that will encourage, enable, and extend learning for every young person at Prior’s Court. Donate Bespoke outdoor classroom space, like those in the image above, have been designed to directly address the limitations of the current classrooms. Every feature has been carefully developed to support the specific needs of autistic young people with complex needs. These new spaces will transform how our young people experience learning. Benefits include: Reduced missed learning time thanks to immediate access to regulatory equipment. Increased engagement through a tailored environment and calming outdoor space. Smoother transitions from home to classroom, enabling more young people to access education each day. Opportunities for regulation that help young people focus, participate, and thrive in lessons. Why outdoor classrooms? The autistic children and young people at Prior’s Court are able to learn and achieve when the environment meets and supports their complex needs. The outdoor classrooms will provide spaces that support regulation, reduce barriers, and make learning more accessible. Your donation will help create environments designed around their needs, so we can better support every young person to engage, develop skills, and continue to flourish.
