About us A new chapter added to our timeline In our 25th anniversary year, we are taking time to reflect on our journey – the milestones, achievements, and moments that have shaped Prior’s Court since we first opened our doors in 1999. To mark this special occasion, we’ve updated our timeline display with a brand-new panel, capturing the story of the last five years at Prior’s Court. The timeline was made to celebrate our 20th anniversary and told the history of Prior's Court since 1999. The timeline itself sits on a wall under a covered walkway between our Court House Building and the Giles, Millington and Shirley residential homes so is seen regularly by staff, young people, their families and visitors. Progress and possibility The past five years have been hugely eventful for the organisation. But thanks to the dedication and expertise of our staffing teams, there have been some incredible achievements. Highlights documented on the timeline include: Staying open throughout the Covid-19 pandemic Opening a bespoke Health & Wellbeing Hub on-site A rebranding project to create a more future-looking brand and value proposition Young people Toby and Ricardo becoming our second and third young people to become paid employees of Prior's Court Our first-ever annual staff awards evening held Work beginning on our ground-breaking Performing Arts centre The 250th young person to join Prior's Court Looking ahead As we celebrate 25 years of Prior’s Court, we’re not just looking back – we’re also looking forward. Our mission remains clear: to enable autistic young people with complex needs to live more independent, fulfilled lives. The updated timeline is more than just a record of the past – it’s a symbol of what’s possible of autistic young people with complex needs when compassion, expertise and innovation come together. We look forward to sharing more stories and achievements throughout our anniversary year, and to continuing this journey with our dedicated staff, young people, their families, and wider community.
