News & events Capturing the Moment: Daniel’s Day Out at Reading FC At Prior’s Court, we’re proud to celebrate the interests and achievements of the autistic young people we support - especially when those moments combine personal passions with new experiences. Recently, Daniel, a young person supported at Prior’s Court, had the opportunity to attend a Reading FC match at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, alongside a small group of other young people. The trip was a wonderful chance to enjoy the buzz of live sport and to be part of the crowd. Experiences like this can be difficult for autistic young people with complex needs, but it was made possible with the right support from our team. For Daniel, the day held an extra level of excitement. With a strong interest in cameras and photography, he was supported to bring his camera and take photos throughout the game. From the energy of the fans to the action on the pitch, Daniel captured the experience through his lens - a chance to explore his interest in a real-world setting. These experiences are made possible thanks to the dedication and person-centred approach of Prior’s Court staff. By recognising Daniel’s interests and planning the right support around them, they helped create a positive and memorable day that nurtured his confidence and creativity. Thank you to all the staff who made this day possible - their support plays a vital role in enabling young people like Daniel to enjoy meaningful, enriching experiences in the wider community.
