One of our Young Adult Provision homes, Charlotte House, has embraced the opportunities offered by the Piper Arts Centre with enthusiasm and positivity in the first term of the 2025/26 year.

Their sessions take place immediately after their lunch and they need to travel in from off-site to get to the main site - often a logistical challenge. But the young people and staff from Charlotte House have shown remarkable commitment. They are usually ready and smiling at the door, more or less always on time and at worst just a few minutes late.

The atmosphere they bring to the centre is full of energy and excitement. Their engagement reflects not just the young people’s enthusiasm for creative sessions, but also the strong support and encouragement from their dedicated staff team.

One young person, Levi, has had a particularly special experience this term. Initially reluctant to dance, Levi found his confidence through movement and laughter. You can read more about Levi’s journey in our Levi’s Dance of Joy blog.

This partnership between young people and staff demonstrates what’s possible when the arts are made accessible, enjoyable, and consistent. It’s helping create lasting memories every week and building stronger bond in the first place.

Why the Piper Arts Centre was built
