We’re proud to celebrate a brilliant milestone achieved by James, a young person supported in Spring House.

James, an autistic young person with complex needs at Prior's Court, recently enjoyed not one, but three increasingly successful visits to Toby Carvery — a favourite of his thanks to his love of roast dinners.

New experiences and transitions can be challenging for James, but the Spring House team saw this as a positive opportunity. With thoughtful planning and strong teamwork, they were determined to support James in doing something he enjoys, in a way that felt safe and manageable for him.

Each visit built on the last. On his most recent trip,  James confidently ate his full meal, chose a pudding to take away, and spent the outing chatting with staff — showing just how far he’s come.

These trips are about more than just food — they represent progress, trust, and the power of consistent support. A huge thank you to the Spring House team for their dedication, and congratulations to James on this fantastic achievement.

We look forward to supporting many more roast dinner outings in the future!
