Our education & residential care Our approach to learning Piper Arts Centre plays host to Synergy Dance Prior's Court's Piper Arts Centre had some new visitors over the weekend. A group from Synergy Dance came to teach the young people fitness, flexibility, gross motor skills, and more through dance. Synergy Dance is an inclusive dance group which provides workouts and fitness programmes for people of all ages and abilities. They will be coming to Prior's Court every Saturday until 1st August to provide a fun activity for each of the young people we support. We have been able to fund this group thanks to the generous donations we have received through Fundraising. Dance is a fantastic way of teaching the young people both fine and gross motor skills, showing them how to move their bodies in a controlled way, and helping with co-ordination. It can also help them practice using both sides of their body simultaneously, which can be something our young people struggle with, particularly when it comes to fine motor skills. Plus, it's a fun way to improve fitness! Our young people have been having an incredible time dancing and generally having fun in their lessons, as you can see from the pictures below!
