On Wednesday, 17 September, the Piper Arts Centre was filled with colour, movement and creativity as our Post-16 young people joined together to take part in a special nature-inspired session.

The afternoon offered a multisensory journey into the natural world, guided by the familiar voice of Sir David Attenborough. Young people explored the beauty of nature through flowing movements with coloured materials, developed their creativity through nature-themed artwork, and engaged in imaginative play with puppetry.

This celebration of creativity is exactly what the Piper Arts Centre was designed for. The space provides a safe, inspiring environment where autistic young people with complex needs can explore the arts, express themselves, and experience happiness through a wide range of creative activities.

A huge well done to everyone in Post-16 for your enthusiasm and imagination. You brought the wonders of the natural world to life inside the Piper Arts Centre, and we can’t wait to see how your creativity continues to grow in future sessions.
