News & events News Mother of Prior's Court young person tackles Snowdon to raise money for those who have supported him The parent of an autistic young person supported by Prior's Court is tackling Mount Snowdon for the first time to raise money for the staff and young people who have had such a profound impact on his life. Holly, who is based in Windsor, is the mother of Fredi, who has been supported by autism charity Prior’s Court since 2024, and is taking on this challenge on Saturday, 9th May to raise money for the place that has had a “remarkable” effect on her son. When asked why she wanted to raise money for Prior’s Court, Holly said, “Prior's Court gave my busy, bright boy the space, stimulation, and support he needed to truly thrive. The facilities are incredible, but it's the staff — and their dedication to every young person in their care — that sets this place apart. Fredi is flourishing here, growing in confidence and independence, and living a meaningful, fulfilling life. As his mum, that is everything, and this climb is my way of saying thank you.” Donate now What is the Enriching Experiences appeal? She is raising money for the Enriching Experiences Appeal. Autism, complex needs and sensory challenges can make it difficult for young people to attend seasonal events that others their age do such as Easter Egg hunts, summer fairgrounds, fireworks displays, and Christmas Carol Concerts, so the Enriching Experiences Appeal helps to provide autism-friendly events so the young people we support are able to experience the same things as their peers. She has already surpassed her goal of £500, raising just over £600 with Gift Aid. A huge good luck to Holly and fingers crossed the weather holds up! Make a donation There is still plenty of time to donate, and every penny will go to improving the lives of autistic young people with complex needs.
