News & events Prior's Court staff member takes the plunge for the cause After a delay due to weather, Prior’s Court Autism Practitioner Mollie Mackay has successfully completed her 15,000ft sponsored skydive to raise funds for autistic young people with complex needs. Originally due to take place on Saturday, 20 September, the skydive was postponed until Friday, 17 October, when Mollie finally took to the skies - facing her fears in spectacular style. Mollie, who admitted before the skydive that she is “really, really scared of heights,” took on the challenge in support of the autistic young people she works with every day at Prior’s Court. Speaking after her jump, Mollie said: “The skydive was so good – I really enjoyed it and I’d actually love to do another.” She added: “A massive thank you to everyone who has donated. Your support has meant so much.” Mollie set out to raise £700 for Prior’s Court, with all proceeds helping to enhance opportunities and experiences for autistic young people with complex needs. And she has smashed her target with £930, plus Gift Aid, raised. Donations can still be taken Mollie previously shared that she was inspired to take on the challenge by the courage and resilience of the young people she supports. “They face challenges that most of us can’t imagine, yet they approach life with resilience and determination,” she said. “If they can show that kind of bravery, then the least I can do is jump into the unknown and face my own fears, all while raising funds to support them.” Find out more about challenge events for Prior’s Court Manage Cookie Preferences
