News & events Prior's Court young people set to take part in Parallel Windsor 2025 Young people from Prior's Court will be taking on challenge events at this year's Parallel Windsor - a "festival of inclusivity" - with two young adults taking on 10k challenge at the event for the very first time. On Sunday, 6 July, 15 young people from Prior's Court are taking part in Parallel Windsor, a series of challenge events designed for people with a range of disabilities. These events include fun runs of varying distances ranging from 100m to 10k and includes a Super Sensory 1k. This will be the third year in a row Prior's Court has been a partner of the Parallel Windsor event, after 15 young people took part in 2024 and another 15 in 2023. Young person Alfie (right) at Parallel Windsor 2024 Ordinarily, all of the young people taking part in this event will take on the 5k race, however, this year up to four of them will be taking on the bigger challenge of the 10k. This is the first time we have taken part in the 10k at Parallel Windsor, and for two of the young people, Alfie and Brandon, this is the continuation of all their hard work at races in the past, including finishing a 5k at Dorney Lake last year. Young people Alfie, Amar, Anton, Brandon, Daniel E, Imprahim, Joe, Louis S, Lyla, Oliver, Peter, Ryan, Toby and William S have all been selected to take part in this year's Parallel Windsor event, and will be fundraising for our Fun and Recreation Appeal which enables young people at Prior's Court to experience the same things as others their age such as summer fairgrounds, fireworks displays and Santa's grotto. A cumulative target of £1,500 has been set for the 15 young people to raise. Make a donation now Natalie Norris, our Fundraising Manager, said: "Parallel Windsor is a double win for the young people we support. It's a fun community event, and it lets them contribute to fundraising for new facilities that will directly benefit them. This event is a chance for young people from all backgrounds to show support for the charities that enrich their lives. By participating, young people from Prior's Court get the same chance to give back to their community." Manage Cookie Preferences
