News & events Students complete half marathon and raise over £800 for play equipment Two students from the University of Reading who are spending a placement year at Prior's Court have completed a half-marathon challenge while raising vital funds for the autistic young people with complex needs they are working with. Amy Miller and Catarina Carr took part in the Green Park Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 22 March. Covering 13.1 miles in warm conditions, both runners completed the course for the first time, supported along the route by friends and family, including a cheer squad waving Prior’s Court flags. Together, Amy and Catarina have raised more than £800, including Gift Aid, for our Play Equipment Appeal. The appeal helps fund equipment that supports sensory regulation and provides meaningful opportunities for play for the autistic young people with complex needs at Prior’s Court. The duo's fundraising pages remain open for anyone who would still like to contribute: Amy Catarina Natalie Norris, Fundraising Manager at Prior's Court, said: "A massive thank you to Amy and Catarina for their commitment and to everyone who has supported their efforts."
