News & events Young people's artwork once again on display at local art exhibition Five of Prior's Court's young people - Theo, Dexter, Toby, Ryan S, and Fredi - have been creating some beautiful art pieces over the last few months with Sammi, our Landbased Instructor, which have now been selected for display in an exhibition which celebrates local artists. City Arts Newbury will host these talented young artists from December 4 to December 21 in an exhibition which is completely free to attend. This particular exhibition has no link to schools and instead is a celebration of local artists out in the community, making this a particularly significant achievement for these five young people. This is not the first time art created by our young people has been selected for exhibition (it was also chosen for the Base exhibition back in January) but it is the first non-school related exhibition it has been selected for. These pieces were made using loose prints from flowers and leaves found around Prior's Court site, which were found in various scavenger hunts, brought back, and fed through a printing press. Sammi then photocopied and blew up the leaves for the young people to cut out and lay in different creative ways. A huge congratulations to Theo, Dexter, Toby, Ryan, Freddi, and Sammi for all the hard work they have put in to creating these amazing pieces. Manage Cookie Preferences
