Learn while you work

From your very first day, you’ll be supported in building the skills and understanding needed for your role. Whether you’re working directly with autistic young people or in a business support position, we provide clear pathways for learning, development and your career with us

Induction and early training

  • Induction: Receive on-the-job training, daily guidance, and team support to help you find your feet. For contact staff members, our induction period lasts for three weeks to get you as prepared as possible for your new role.
  • Shadowing: Learn from experienced colleagues to gain a strong understanding of the needs of the autistic young people we support.

Growing in your role

  • As you become more confident, you’ll have opportunities to mentor new team members, helping them thrive while strengthening your own expertise.
  • Many of our staff go on to become specialists in autism support and progress into more senior roles within the organisation.

Supervision and support

We’re committed to creating an environment where all our staff members feel supported to thrive.

Supervision at Prior’s Court includes:

  • Regular one-to-one meetings with a line manager
  • Team meetings for shared learning and reflection
  • Annual appraisals to review progress and set development goals

These sessions provide dedicated time to talk about your wellbeing, training needs, and aspirations for the future. It’s all part of helping you succeed - both professionally and personally.
