Support us Corporate and community support Fabulous Fortra continue with the DIY tasks around site A fabulous group from Fortra came to Prior's Court to put their DIY skills to the test, building two trampolines for the young people to enjoy! First, the group went to Charlotte House, our off-site home in the nearby village of Hermitage to finish building the trampoline there which was started by last week's volunteering group. After smashing that out in an hour, they moved on to the second trampoline which was to be placed in our group of four autism-specific homes known as the Seasons. They built this trampoline completely from scratch, but after completing the morning's build, they knew what they were doing and had the trampoline up and functional in record time! They also completed a few leaf and gutter cleaning tasks along the way! Groups from Fortra have previously built two more trampolines around site in the past, so they clearly know what they are doing! These trampolines were both fundraised for thanks to the amazing work by Barney and Brooke, cousins of one of the young people supported by Prior's Court, and their amazing work completing the Paris Marathon back in April. They will provide a regulation space for the autistic young people with complex needs supported by Prior's Court, offering them somewhere to move and exercise in order to regulate. The repetitive bouncing motion allows for physical as well as emotional regulation, as well as providing an area to have fun!
