Long time and dedicated supporters Kärcher UK came to Prior's Court yesterday for their 8th visit to volunteer at the site! Since 2023, when Kärcher first started supporting us, they have sent 80 people (including three brand new faces in this most recent volunteering session) who have contributed around 360 hours of donated work (which is the equivalent of over 9 weeks for an individual staff member).

This time around, Kärcher broke out both the indoor and outdoor cleaning equipment, cleaning three of our training rooms and removing a significant amount of detritus from our outside courtyard space.

Our fantastic housekeeping team prioritise deep cleaning spaces where the young people spend the most time, ensuring these spaces are hygienic and safe for them, which means that more staff-focused areas - although cleaned regularly - don't always get the same deep cleaning treatment. These areas are often the first spaces new staff members see, so keeping them looking and smelling clean is imperative for us to give a good first impression.

The group worked hard, as they always do, pressure washing brickwork and paving stones, vacuuming and washing the floors, cleaning the windows, and washing down the walls to make each of our training rooms gleam.

We are so grateful for everything Kärcher have done for us over the years, both through challenge events they have taken on, equipment they have donated (much of it is able to be used by the autistic young people we support, teaching them another work stream and encouraging them to take pride in cleaning their own spaces), and the many, many volunteering days they have done. We cannot thank you enough.
