The small group of 5, made up of both new and returning faces, were accompanied by a sweeper which was designed to hoover up the leaves so we were able to transport them easily to our Estates compound. In total we managed to remove a total of around 2500 litres of leaves from both the school, and outside six of our residential homes. Although leaf clearing isn't the most entertaining of tasks, around this time of year it is by far the most essential. The wet leaves covering the pathways make slipping and tripping far more likely, and for many of our young people who may have issues with fine and gross motor skills, having to think about not slipping over while walking makes things all the more challenging. Thanks to the amazing work of Kärcher and their fantastic equipment, we have helped to ensure the safety of all of our young people while moving around site. As always it was a pleasure having Kärcher back on site, and we look forward to seeing them back in a few weeks!
