Support us Corporate and community support Latest Kärcher UK visitors make a huge impact Our latest corporate volunteer visitors from Kärcher UK peeled off into three teams to maximise their impact on the lives of autistic young people with complex needs during their visit on Thursday, 17 October. And what an impact the incredible team of 16 volunteers made, getting through an incredible amount of work across the day to make many environments more appealing for the autistic young people with complex needs we support. Luckily, the team visited on a gloriously dry and sunny Autumn afternoon - which was just as well as there was plenty of outside cleaning taking place including working on our Music Circle and climbing frames and clearing slippery leaves from main walkways across the site. Meanwhile, indoors, our heavily-used Main Gym area was given a thorough clean by the team too. The area is used on a daily basis by dozens of young people - as exercise is a key part of our autism approach - so the slight disruption of the Main Gym being off-limits for one day is more than made up by how sparkly clean the area is now. Elsewhere, the Parent Room in our main Court House building was given a deep clean with sofas also being steam-cleaned. This room is used by families visiting their children on-site, so having it as welcoming as possible is paramount to us. The Karcher team's work today significantly impacted this aim - and the team also gave the garden behind the Parent Room a jetwash and our Reception a deep clean too!
