Four amazing volunteers from ReBound came to Prior's Court on Thursday to continue the fantastic leaf clearing work of Karcher the day before.

These fantastic Four cleared pathways in our school courtyard, around the bakery, and around our Piper Arts Centre, creating a safer environment for our young people to run and jump freely without fear of slipping on the wet leaves. This motion helps with emotional regulation, gives them sensory input, and helps them to express big emotions, allowing for a calmer and happier presence in school.

Towards the end of the day, some of the group also helped to weed an area of site, removing any prickly or potentially harmful plants and creating yet another safer environment for our young people to explore. One of our young adults even lent them a helping hand!

Although ReBound have been a number of times as a company, these four fantastic volunteers were all new faces which was lovely! It is always fantastic to have returning volunteers, but being able to show new visitors what we do and how amazing our young people are is always a privilege.
