A small but enthusiastic group of Rebound volunteers channeled their inner landscape gardeners at Prior's Court yesterday, spending the morning filling some of the empty planters with soil and plants potted by the autistic young people we support.

They filled the beds around our soon-to-be-opened performing arts centre with beautiful sensory plants, including lavender and rosemary, in preparation for its grand opening on Thursday, 12 June. They also filled two large planters by the school with small plants, taking great care to make sure they were symmetrical. It was worth it because they both looked fantastic!

The afternoon was then spent weeding some of the young apple trees in our on-site orchard to ensure they have enough room to grow and aren't fighting the weeds for nutrition in the soil. They worked incredibly hard between the four of them and managed to clear an entire row of trees, which now look beautifully neat and tidy.

A huge thank you to Rebound for their hard work, it is always a pleasure to have them on site! We have plans to keep the partnership with Rebound going with some upcoming fundraising and a joint social media campaign so they can continue having a positive impact on our young people outside of volunteering.
