News & events Visa work tirelessly to make our site beautiful and functional It was a day of two halves for our brilliant team of volunteers from Visa, who dedicated their time and energy to help us complete important tasks that contribute to a safer and more welcoming environment for the autistic young people with complex needs we support at Prior's Court. In the morning, the team got to work in our on-site orchard, carefully weeding around each tree to prevent young saplings from being overwhelmed by surrounding plant growth. This labour-intensive but vital task helps ensure the long-term health of the trees. Between the 17 volunteers, more than 100 trees were successfully weeded. The afternoon saw the team turn their attention to our new Piper Arts Centre, preparing the space for its official opening on Thursday 12 June. Their efforts helped ensure the centre is clean, welcoming and ready for use by the young people we support – providing a new space for creativity, expression and engagement. As always, a huge thank you to Visa for their support over the years, it is always a pleasure having you on site volunteering.
