The spirit of Giving Tuesday was in full flow when one of our corporate supporters hosted a visit from our Fundraising team on Tuesday. 3 December.

Reading-based IT company Tanium hosted Natalie and Aimée from our Fundraising to officially launch Tanium’s virtual giving tree in support of our Performing Arts Centre appeal, and to share with Tanium’s team the incredible impact their fundraising and volunteering have on the autistic young people with complex needs we support.

The virtual giving tree is an inspiring idea with a special goal: each donation will light up a star with the aim to light up 51 stars. Why 51? There 51 young people at Prior’s Court who currently have not had access to the transformative power of the performing arts, which will be helped with the opening of a dedicated, bespoke performing arts space.

The highlight of the visit was a presentation in Tanium's boardroom, which was filled with Tanium employees eager to learn more about Prior’s Court. Natalie and Aimée shared stories and insights into how Tanium’s fundraising efforts and volunteering hours make a real difference, sharing the story of Prior's Court young person Jamie as his family spoke about the transformative power of the performing arts.

So many of the Tanium team resonated with our mission, with several sharing their own personal experiences of knowing family and friends with children who are autistic or have complex needs.

As a token of appreciation, our talented young people in the onsite Prior’s Court bakery baked delicious mince pies to gift to the Tanium team.

Tanium’s partnership with Prior’s Court spans over three years of volunteering, during which their team has made a tangible difference through hands-on volunteering work in our Orchard, CLC and residential gardens.

The support doesn’t stop there though, as next week, Tanium is set to host a Gala Dinner in London, complete with an auction in aid of Prior’s Court.

The auction is already live now and anyone can bid

Corporate supporters like Tanium are vital to enabling us to enrich the lives of the young people at Prior’s Court. Whether it’s through fundraising, volunteering, or spreading awareness, their dedication helps provide the equipment, resources and experiences our young people need and deserve.

Thank you, team Tanium, for your support and commitment. Together, we are lighting up stars and making a lasting impact on the lives of autistic young people with complex needs.
