As part of our seasonal celebrations at Prior’s Court, the young people we support enjoyed an Easter egg hunt through our 10-acre woods on our rural site.

The Easter egg hunt encouraged exploration, independence, and enjoyment in a safe and familiar environment for the autistic young people with complex needs we support.

A seasonal search for spring surprises

Laminated Easter eggs were hidden throughout the woodland pathways, with a variety of bright colours and simple patterns to spot. The young people set off on the hunt at their own pace, supported by staff members who provided gentle encouragement along the way.

A laminated egg could be exchanged at the end of the trail for a chocolate Easter egg.

This creative approach allowed everyone to take part, regardless of individual sensory preferences or dietary needs, as alternative treats were available for those who required them.

A massive thank you

Thank our staff for their creativity and care in making the event both inclusive and enjoyable - and to those staff who supported the young people to take part.

Moments like these reflect what Prior’s Court is all about – supporting autistic young people with complex needs to lead rich, fulfilling lives and celebrating every success, big or small.
