Yesterday, a small but enthusiastic group from Netwrix, our newest corporate supporter, came to Prior's Court to learn more about the autistic young people we support and to help us create space in our Countryside Learning Centre to allow the young people to access it.

In one of the animal paddocks in the CLC, there was a large amount of rotten wood and old animal hutches that needed to be broken down and thrown into a skip tin order to clear a large space to allow our young people to access outdoor learning and animal husbandry.

This extremely determined group of six 'smashed' this physically demanding task, dismantling old small animal hutches, old pig huts, and various other miscellaneous items with vigour. They even tackled some old concrete blocks and paving slabs, placing the concrete into the skip but saving the paving slabs for use elsewhere around site. They were very happy breaking out sledgehammers, crowbars, saws, and drills, and having a wonderful time.

They filled the skip to the brim over the course of the day, working extremely hard in a limited time frame and impressing our Head of Grounds with the amount of work they completed.

A special thank you as well to Stuart, who has been a loyal volunteer at Prior's Court for a number of years, having inspired three companies to come and donate their time and resources to improving the lives of the autistic young people with complex needs we support.
