Find out more about our specialist facilities The Therapy Model at Prior's Court overview All: All young people at Prior’s Court have individualised and flexible access to everything embedded into Prior’s Court environment, including SALT, OT, PBS, and sensory-based interventions. Prior’s Court fundamentally believe that by embedding therapy into our environment, we are providing the best outcomes for young people and is at the core of our offer. Support is focused on embedding the consistent use of strategies by everyone who works with the young people across the extended day. Variable: Variable input is available to all young people, but the frequency or focus may change across age-groups and terms. All young people have one session a week timetabled as minimum, led by Therapy Assistants and planned by SALT and OT therapists. In addition, Therapy Assistants provide support on rotation across the extended day, including delivery of groups outside of school hours. Therapists and specialists also vary and adapt their input across young people and groups depending on need; and some young people will have Physiotherapy and Music Therapy input. Specific: This part of Prior’s Court Therapy model is where additional intervention(s) is put in place to meet a specific need, whether this is for a set period or life-long. This may be, for example, in relation to an additional diagnosis that effects motor abilities; significant mental health needs; a trauma event or significant change; medication changes impacting quality of life and/or skills; or a change in skill/need that impacts current support in place. Specific support is usually delivered on a time limited basis with evaluation and review at key points throughout. This can be delivered either within a young person’s extended day and activities or in a more formal space but with effective communication and modelling between all parties. For some young people, needs are ongoing, and specific support remains in place long-term. Manage Cookie Preferences
